Constitution HS Id, Ego, and Super-ego
The Cat in the Hat Analysis
Based, on a story, I'm sure everyone knows, or has knowledge of the infamous "The Cat in the Hat", this story is compelling, and may seem as a toddler’s book, but may have a lot of lead way, during the course of reading this masterpiece. The author mainly meant to entertain the kids, reading but put more into the original story, than he represents it. My perspective is on the situation is that maybe he wants the reader to learn how to dig in, and pull out more possible, examples, regarding the story. The story can represent intimate affairs between the siblings, or maybe the cat is a little to friendly wit the kid, or may-be they a had a little more fun then they're expected to. That's just some of the thoughts CHS freshman though of the first week(s) of school.
The Id, takes over the devil on the shoulder, and it mainly has no responsibility. The basic gesture of the Id, is negative, mainly its whole perspective is negative. The Id represents the devil on the shoulder (from the old cartoons). It only cares for itself, and an unconscious mind. Our class thought that the Id is responsible for the sexual drive, that is included in the story, but that’s our opinion as a whole class.
Next, The Super-ego has a lot to show, and it represents the Angle on the shoulder of a character in this book. The main purpose of the super –ego is to make a wise, and a decision that can really help the main character out, in the long run. Personally, I felt that this part of the personality is the good cop, and really touches up on the Fish’s character in the story. The fish represents a little bit of the mom, because he takes up authority, and replacing order in the house while the mother is not in their presence.
Finally, The Ego is the Triple Beam Scale of the personality of the characters. It balances out the personality of the character, which you’re describing. It develops a sense of humor, and it understands the need of both personas. The ego meets the need of the Id, and the superego. Mainly, the ego is the real, hero in a hero, and is needed to make a very stimulating character.
